Persistence means to me to persevere and keep going in what you are doing and to not give up once you have started something.

Hand held mirror; How can it be used in WISE.
It can be used for individual and reflective evaluation, It only gets a certain reflection of an item but it is enlarged and used for a closer and more concerntrated evaluation.

Metacognition- The rear view and side view mirrors of a car.

It can be used because it reflects the image from behind you, and they are " personally positioned by the drivers to provide the needed perspectives to guide process" They can be moved and changed to different angle for the driver.

Full length mirror; How can it be used in WISE

The Full Mirror allows us to see the full image. It also allows us to veiw it from all and any angle.

Reflection 1: Creating, Imagining and Innovating

This lesson was our second lesson in WISE and we focused on one of the habit's of mind which was Creating, Imagining and innovating. We were then given a paperclip and asked to create something different out of it, I of which came up with a walking stick and as it was quite small i thought about how it could be used for a mouse. We then looked at a sideshow of all different items which included balloons, wood, springs and umbrellas. For homework we were asked to think about three of those items and think about five different ways they could be used if you created them and used them in everyday life.
